NTU CCDS Talented Undergraduate Summer Research Programme 2026
The College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at Nanyang Technological University is now accepting applications for the inaugural NTU CCDS Talented Undergraduate Summer Research Program (NTUSRP) 2026, a highly selective, fully funded, five-day research immersion for outstanding undergraduates in computer science, AI, data science, and related fields.
From Day 1, you'll be paired with a CCDS faculty mentor and work alongside their lab on a focused research exercise – literature review, problem framing, and early exploration – culminating in a final presentation evaluated by a faculty panel.
About the Programme
Unlike traditional lecture-style summer schools, this programme is a small, focused, and research-oriented undergraduate experience, advised by world-class researchers.
- One-on-one faculty matchmaking: Each accepted student is paired with a CCDS faculty mentor on the first day; the subsequent research work is guided directly by the mentor and lab members, including PhD students.
- Research immersion training: Under faculty supervision, students undertake a short research exercise focused on a specific research direction, including literature review, problem framing, and initial exploration.
- Integrated research pipeline: This program is the first stage of a three-stage CCDS talent pipeline (Summer School → Internship → PhD Application).

Eligibility
- Top second- or third-year undergraduates currently enrolled at leading universities worldwide studying computer science, AI, data science, or related disciplines
- Strong interest in research, with aspirations to pursue further studies
Schedule
The five-day programme will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026. Participants will arrive at NTU on 5 July and depart on 11 July.

Next-stage Pathways & Opportunities
Research Internship: Outstanding participants will be invited to a two-month research internship.
PhD Application: Students with aspirations for further study are encouraged to apply to the CCDS PhD programme.
