​Reasons why SIA decided not to charge credit card fees anymore

In just one day, Singapore Airline revoked their decision of including an additional credit card fee of 1.3% for Economy Lite tickets issued in Singapore.

The circular was announced soon after the company received backlash from members of the public.

NBS Assoc Prof Michael Li said that one reason for such a move could be due to constant external pressure to reduce costs.

He discussed with Lianhe Zaobao on why airlines should pay attention to the interests of their customers and how such a move may affect their business in the long run.
