NBS Alumni Relations

Celebrate the strong, longstanding partnership between Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) at this exclusive gathering. Connect with fellow alumni and hear from faculty representatives from both universities as we celebrate the enduring Germany–Singapore relationship.

Designed to bring together alumni who share academic experiences across both world-class universities, this event offers a unique platform to connect and share insights.

The highlight of the evening is a two-part programme exploring the impact of AI through a unique Singapore-Germany lens.

Spotlight Talk: Germany and Singapore: AI and the Future of Finance
Speaker: Prof. Byoung-Hyoun Hwang

Artificial intelligence has moved to the heart of finance. In this session, Prof Hwang explores what this means for markets and finance professionals:

  • If everyone uses the same AI tools, what happens to markets?
  • As machines take on routine work, what happens to people?

Drawing on lessons from past waves of automation and evidence from Germany, Singapore and the US, the talk explores what lies ahead for the future of finance.

Panel Discussion: Germany and Singapore: AI and the Future of Work

Building on the spotlight talk, this panel examines how AI is reshaping careers, skills, productivity and workplace decision-making. Panellists will explore:

  • How organisations and professionals are adapting to an AI-driven workplace
  • How human expertise can work alongside intelligent technologies

Through a Germany-Singapore lens, the discussion will consider what the evolving role of AI means for organisations, professionals and the future of work.
