The world today is unsettled. Geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty, rapid technological shifts, and widening social divides are reshaping how we live and work. In such times, leadership calls for more than management. It requires the ability to bring people together, to navigate complexity, and to act with purpose.
Few leaders illustrate this better than Mr Philip Yeo. Over five decades, he has been a driving force in Singapore’s transformation, from his bold decisions at the Economic Development Board (EDB) to his leadership of A*STAR and SPRING Singapore. His career reflects Singapore’s own story of resilience, adaptability, and innovation.
In this fireside chat, Mr Yeo will draw on his biography Neither Civil Nor Servant to share stories and lessons from his leadership journey. He will reflect on:
• Making bold decisions in times of uncertainty
• The importance of mentorship and talent development in building future leaders
• What resilience and adaptability mean in today’s fragmented world
The session will be moderated by Professor Jun Yang, Dean of Nanyang Business School, and followed by an audience Q&A.
