Research: Number of seniors conscious of depression and anxiety is higher than before COVID-19

NTU Psychology's Asst Prof Yu Junhong (transliteration) opined that there is no drop in the numbers of elderly suffering from depression or having anxiety symptoms even after Phase 2 and 3 because social distancing measures have had an impact on the daily socialising norms of the elderly. Another reason is that the elderly are usually less tech-savvy so they are not in the habit of using the internet or video call to keep in touch with their friends.
