How to encourage more vaccinations

In an opinion piece, Professor Euston Quah, Albert Winsemius Chair Professor of Economics and director of the Economic Growth Centre at NTU, discussed the issue of vaccinations. He looks at how Singapore has made use of the economist's toolkit and what else needs to be considered. In economics, there are essentially three ways to encourage or discourage people to behave in a certain manner. These are moral suasion, rewards and penalties, he said.
