In a commentary, Prof Euston Quah, Head of Economics at NTU and Tony Yeoh, an Assoc faculty member at SIT, wrote about how people should manage artificial intelligence (AI) before it becomes a social risk. They also said the biggest concern over AI is the redistributive effect of worsening inequality and the erosion of incomes because labour productivity gains do not translate into wage increase but accrue to only a few with capital.
