Regarding the three potential Prime Minister candidates, experts felt that the change in duties of Chan Chun Sing gave him “a slight edge”. Asst Prof Woo Jun Jie from NTU School of Social Sciences said that Chan Chun Sing has wide exposure in various policy areas after he joined politics. Taking over the Ministry of Trade and Industry fits his experience at National Trades Union Congress plus his experience at the Ministry of Social and Family Development has strengthened his experience.
