About the Lecture
A smart city refers to a city employing digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) to address the growing urban challenges and promote economic, social, and environmental sustainability. In Singapore, Smart Nation initiative was launched in November 2014 to bring about more responsive and reliable government services, enhanced productivity and efficiency in business and better quality of life for all. This session will examine how the Singapore government harnesses digital technologies and leverages data to improve operational efficiency, design better policies to meet citizens’ needs, and solve urban challenges. It will also examine moral principles for digital transformation.
