Prof Euston Quah receives honorary title from UEH

Professor Euston Quah has been conferred the prestigious honorary title of Distinguished Fellow and Member of the Scientific Committee by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). The president of UEH, Professor Nguyen Dong Phong presented Professor Quah with the title when the former visited the School of Social Sciences (SSS) on 4 December 2019.
Professor Quah, head of NTU Economics and Albert Winsemius Chair Professor in Economics, had given several talks at the Vietnamese university, and helped to organise a research workshop and sharing sessions on university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and Times Higher Education (THE). With his encouragement, UEH also hosted the 14th Asian Law and Economics Conference. Additionally, he also assisted the university to build a network of Asian and ASEAN institutions and shared his expertise on cost-benefit analysis and environmental sustainability management.
Professor Nguyen Dong Phong and his colleagues visited NTU to explore possible collaborations between UEH and SSS. They were given a tour of the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan building which SSS is at as well as The Hive. The delegation also met with Professor Liu Hong, Chair of SSS; and Associate Professor Wan Ching, Associate Chair (Research), and faculty members from NTU Economics, Associate Professors Christos Sakellariou and Jonathan Tan.
