Ng Ming Wei wins Taekwondo silver medal, team leader hopes that Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) can be united

During the SEA Games Taekwondo men’s under-58kg finals yesterday, Ng Ming Wei lost to his Thai opponent who is ranked 13th in the Taekwondo world ranking. Ng is the first Singapore athlete in 20 years to enter the Taekwondo final. To participate in SEA Games, Ng Ming Wei who is currently a Psychology student in NTU chose to take a leave of absence to focus on his training. He aims to pass the Olympic qualifications in 2020 and said that there is a high chance he will continue to take a leave of absence for his training.
