In an interview, NTU’s Chair of Social Sciences and Director for the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration Prof Liu Hong said that six years on, the Belt Road Initiative has showed the importance of having the common belief of banding together in tough times, and the importance of having ‘hardware’ such as infrastructure and ‘software’ such as communication complementing each other.
