In a commentary, Asst Prof Bao Te from NTU Singapore’s Economics Programme wrote about Pete Buttigieg, a US Democrat candidate who is leading in opinion polls. While many candidates may go to extremes to get the support of some groups of people, Buttigieg is more moderate and if elected as US President, it may improve US relations with Asia and Europe.
