NTU psychology Asst Prof Andy Ho Hau Yan from the School of Social Sciences said although most people hope to die at home, about 70 per cent of the locals passed away at medical facilities. So people's end-of-life choices should be respected. Other than the patients themselves, this also depends on the family members' mentality and the behaviour of medical social workers.
