In an interview with Channel 8 News, Assoc Prof Bo An from NTU SCSE shared how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already incorporated in our daily lives such as online shopping recommendations and detection of fraudulent credit card transactions. Healthcare and finance are also sectors that AI can be used. Future AI breakthroughs may lie in making decisions in complex environments. Assoc Prof An said that currently, AI is still in its early stages of development and the successful uses of AI in the past years have been focused on simpler tasks.
