As an annual event to share the research achievements and explore commercialisation potential, the second SCALE@NTU Networking Seminar was held on 26 Nov 2019 at The Arc, NTU. More than 60 attendees have participated in the event, including the NTU teams of the 14 projects in SCALE@NTU, the team of NCS Corporate Labs, guests from Singtel Group, representatives from NRF and NTU President Office, and Chair of SCSE, NTU.
The seminar was opened by Prof Cong Gao, SCALE@NTU Co-Director (NTU). Dr Yan Shi Xing, SCALE@NTU Co-Director (Singtel) gave an inspiring speech to introduce the mission and the capabilities of SCALE@NTU as well as NCS Corporate Labs which lead the collaboration. The PIs and the researchers from the 14 projects presented the research achievements in the past year and the potential applications in various domains, showing the diverse and solid research strength of the lab.
The event this year also featured a poster and demo exhibition after the presentations with 16 posters and 9 demos from NTU as well as 3 demos from NCS. The researchers interacted with the audience to elaborate the research and application. The guests from Singtel Group were invited to vote for the best posters and demos from NTU. The event culminated in the announcement of the winners of the competition. While many projects showcased interesting and useful use cases, the following posters and demos have gained most popularity among the guests:

The Networking Seminar has deepened the connection between the teams of NTU and Singtel/NCS, facilitated sharing of expertise and created much interest in IP translation and productisation among Singtel Group. The representative from NRF gave positive feedback to the projects and acknowledged the good progress of the lab.
