7 March 2016 - News: NBS's Shaun Wang appointed Associate Director for IFoA's ARC
The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), the chartered professional body for actuaries in the United Kingdom, as well as accrediting members from across the globe, is expanding its Actuarial Research Centre (ARC) to become a ground breaking virtual network of actuarial researchers and partner organisations from around the world, which will sponsor and deliver innovative research on behalf of the IFoA.
The ARC seeks to deliver research programmes that bridge academic rigour with practitioner needs by working collaboratively with academics, industry and other actuarial bodies. To support the quality of the research delivered through the ARC, the IFoA has appointed three world-leading actuarial experts and senior academics to provide academic oversight. Amongst them is Nanyang Business School (NBS) Professor Shaun Wang, Banking and Finance. Professor Wang has been appointed as ARC Associate Director, with a focus on the Asia Pacific. Professor Wang, along with two more Directors will oversee the IFoA’s cutting-edge research programme to further actuarial science worldwide.
