NBS Dean welcomes IFoA delegates

On 28 September, a delegate from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, including Mr. Colin Wilson (President), Mr. Derek Cribb (CEO) and Ms. Caryn Chua (South-East Asia representative) visited Nanyang Business School.

Professor Neo, Dean of NBS, welcomed their visit and presented them his book “Dynamic Governance: Embedding Culture, Capabilities and Change in Singapore’’.

“Our Nanyang Business School’s Actuarial Science Programmes have consistently attracted top students. They not only learn mathematical quantitative skills, but also broader business skills in corporate finance, accounting, communications and corporate governance. We value the strong collaborative relationship with the IFoA over the past decades. And we look forward to continued collaboration in educating tomorrow’s actuaries and risk management leaders,” said Dean Neo.

Mr. Colin Wilson, President of the IFoA, said: “The IFoA is proud of its partnership with Nanyang Technological University (NTU). NTU has been one of our accredited universities since 2012, in recognition of the high standards of its actuarial science programme. We will continue to work with NTU to promote actuarial education into the future. I’m delighted that Professor Shaun Wang was recently appointed as Associate Director of the IFoA’s Actuarial Research Centre – the hub for all our funded research programmes. This cements the high esteem in which we hold our relationship.”
