Assistant Professor Liu Jingxiao

Dr Jingxiao Liu is a Nanyang Assistant Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was previously a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.

His research focuses on structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, structural health monitoring, near-surface geophysics, distributed fiber-optic and mobile sensing, and physics-guided machine learning and artificial intelligence.

He received his PhD in Structural Engineering, with a minor in Electrical Engineering, from Stanford University in 2023; his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017; and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Central South University, China, in 2016. He has received multiple best paper and presentation awards from ASCE, ASME, SEM, and ACM.
