Wilmar PhD Scholarship
The scholarship is targeted at students who are interested in pursuing a full-time PhD at NTU in Food Research particularly in the application of Artificial Intelligence to Food & Nutrition and Agriculture Technology-related areas.
- All nationalities are eligible for the scholarship.
- Applicants must meet the general admission requirements for the PhD programme. Refer to the respective programme for any additional requirements.
Applicants can apply for the scholarship directly through the NTU application portal by indicating their interest in the “Scholarship” section of the application. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and be evaluated by the University as part of the selection process.

- Education qualifications (in both original language and official translation in English)
- Research proposal
- Two referee reports
- Other supporting documents:
- Resume
- Research publications
- Test scores (i.e. IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMATE/GATE), where applicable
(c) The scholar may not find any form of employment, or hold any other scholarship, award, fellowship or allowance during the period of the scholarship without the prior approval of the university.

International students may consider taking up a 3-year service obligation. As part of the service obligation, the international student is required to work in Singapore-based companies upon graduation. Details of the service obligation can be found here.
