Collaborations with Overseas Institutions

To enrich its research culture, enhance its core areas of strengths, accelerate expansion to new fields and fill gaps in expertise, the College actively sought linkages with reputable universities and research laboratories worldwide.

Find out more about some of our collaborations with renowned overseas institutions below:

Joint NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY) is Jointly founded by NTU and the University of British Columbia (UBC), LILY is Singapore’s first research centre to focus on empowering successful aging through technology. By leveraging on AI, IoT and big data analytics, LILY has developed a series of platform technologies that extend high-quality healthcare services from hospitals to homes. These technologies encourage inter-generational communication and empower seniors to lead active, independent and dignified lives.

The Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) is an international research campus and innovation hub supported by the National Research Foundation. Through these interdisciplinary research centres from top universities, the College has rapidly built up R&D capabilities in cutting-edge research areas and successfully integrated these competencies into the local R&D ecosystem

NTU Singapore – CEA Alliance for Research in Circular Economy (NTU SCARCE) is jointly set up by NTU and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), NTU SCARCE formulates advanced technologies in materials sorting, dismantling, dissolution, separation, and reuse, to enable innovative, energy efficient solutions for the recycling and recovery of resources from e-waste.

The Max Planck-NTU Joint Lab for Artificial Senses aims to break new grounds in artificial senses and extend senses beyond the human capability by developing solutions and systems for robotics, sensory mechanisms, prosthetics and healthcare.
