Vocalbeats.AI-Turing AI Scholarship Strengthens CCDS Pathway for Singapore’s Next Generation of AI Talent

The College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) has partnered with Vocalbeats.AI, a Singapore-based AI-powered audio company, to establish the Vocalbeats.AI-Turing AI Scholarship. Formalised at a signing ceremony on 1 April, the scholarship supports exceptional students in the Turing AI Scholars Programme (TAISP).
TAISP offers CCDS students a distinctive combination of rigorous AI and computing education, masterclasses, hands-on research with leading faculty, and international immersion. The Vocalbeats.AI partnership, which runs till AY27, strengthens the programme's industry dimension by connecting students to a company specialising in intelligent voice and audio technology. Through structured internships, mentorships, and career pathways, students can apply what they learn in the programme to real-world product development in voice AI technology.
This is the kind of classroom-to-career bridge that sets CCDS apart. The model is already proving itself: one NTU graduate who joined Vocalbeats.AI's internship programme in 2025 has since transitioned into a full-time research role at the company, demonstrating how industry partnerships can accelerate the journey from undergraduate study to meaningful contributions in AI research and development.

The partnership comes as demand for AI engineering talent continues to outstrip supply globally. Singapore's National AI Strategy 2.0 has called directly on industry to co-invest with universities in tripling the nation's AI practitioner pool. CCDS is positioned at the centre of that effort. Each new industry partnership expands the college's capacity to produce graduates who are not only technically strong but industry-ready from day one.
