International Workshop Computing Education in the AI Age
When AI can generate code, what must computing students still learn – and how should we teach it?
The International Workshop on Computing Education in the AI Age brings together educators, researchers, students and industry practitioners to examine how AI is changing the teaching and learning of programming and software engineering.
Through keynote addresses, two panel conversations and interactive showcases, the workshop will explore the capabilities students still need to develop, the foundations that remain essential and how educators are redesigning curricula, assessment and learning experiences for an AI-shaped environment.
Bringing together global perspectives and experiences from across Singapore’s universities, the programme moves from the larger questions confronting computing education to the approaches and tools already being tested in practice.
Who should attend
- Educators, academic developers and learning designers from universities, polytechnics and other institutes of higher learning
- Researchers and postgraduate research students interested in computing education, educational technology and AI-supported learning
- Teaching assistants and early-career academics developing their teaching practice
- Undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students interested in how computing education and assessment are evolving
- Practitioners involved in software development, professional training, talent development and workforce preparation
Whether you teach computing, support student learning, study the discipline or help prepare graduates for the workplace, the workshop offers an opportunity to compare perspectives and consider what computing education must become in the age of AI.
