Dr. Wu Pengcheng (Keynote Speaker)
Senior Research Scientist (AI), Nanyang Technological University; Founder of Gigle AI
Dr. Wu Pengcheng graduated from NTU's College of Computing and Data Science. His research covers multimodal large models, computer vision, reinforcement learning, and other AI-related fields. His company Deepir has completed well-known AI application projects including the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge smart border crossing and facial recognition systems for the Beijing Winter Olympics. Recently, Dr. Wu co-founded Gigle AI with partners, focused on applying multimodal large models and real-time interaction technology to educational settings, advancing more accessible and personalized AI education.
Dr. Du Xuefeng (Keynote Speaker)
Assistant Professor, College of Computing and Data Science, NTU
Dr. Du's research focuses on how AI technology can serve society safely, reliably, and responsibly. His work addresses not only algorithmic and theoretical questions but also the relationship between large language models, generative AI, and the future of education, knowledge dissemination, and human-machine collaboration. In this talk, he will combine cutting-edge AI developments with educational contexts to share the profound impact AI may have on future learning methods, the role of teachers, knowledge acquisition, and talent development.
Ms. Jin Shuyuan (Keynote Speaker)
Founder of Xinshi Education; CEO of Xinshi AI Music Technology
Ms. Jin has 17 years of international music education experience as both educator and entrepreneur, with a long-term focus on children's music education, creativity development, and educational system design. The Xinshi Education program she founded integrates ABRSM and IB educational philosophies with child psychology, establishing a comprehensive music curriculum centered on "Expression, Creation, Understanding." She is currently working to integrate AI with music education, exploring AI dual-teacher classrooms, smart music classrooms, and a new generation of music learning devices. She hopes to use technology to lower the threshold for music learning, bringing music truly into everyday life.
Dr. Li Boyang (Moderator)
Associate Professor, College of Computing and Data Science, NTU
Dr. Li earned his PhD in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and previously worked at Disney Research and Baidu Silicon Valley Research. In 2021, he received a S$2.5 million Young Investigator Grant from the National Research Foundation, Singapore. With many years of deep engagement in AI research, he has developed thoughtful insights into both the strengths and limitations of AI relative to humans.
About the Event
Education shapes both the character of a people and the future of a nation. Artificial Intelligence (AI), as a rapidly developing emerging technology, brings limitless development possibilities to every industry. However, in the field of education, AI also brings a series of challenges –for example, students relying too heavily on AI to complete assignments, leaving themselves without sufficient practice opportunities. How can the education sector make good use of AI's strengths while avoiding its negative effects? What skills are needed for knowledge work in the AI era, and how should careers be planned in the AI era? This talk brings together AI researchers from NTU alongside practitioners who are bringing AI into the classroom to share their findings and hands-on experience, offering the audience a forward-looking perspective on what lies ahead.
