PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The Certificate in Responsible Generative AI Governance is a joint certification by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the Singapore Computer Society (SCS). It is designed to certify professionals who are committed to responsible deployment of Generative AI.

This certificate introduces key risks, techniques, and governance concerns related to Generative AI. Learners will explore:

  • The capabilities, limitations, and ethical risks of GAI
  • Strategies for safe deployment and prompt engineering
  • Security issues such as prompt injection and jailbreaking

ℹ️ This certificate can be stacked toward the Graduate Certificate in Responsible Artificial Intelligence Practices (RAIP).

NOTE: To be awarded the Certificate in Responsible Generative AI Governance, students must complete both courses. Additionally, students must pass a final examination to earn a joint certificate and the SCS digital badge.

  • ✅ Pass both course assessments and the final exam

Step-by-Step Process

1. Programme Registration
NTU collects your registration; name/email shared with SCS for onboarding
2. SCS Membership Application
SCS follows up on membership and fee collection
3. Programme Fee Payment
NTU contacts you after registration closes
4. Admin Details
You’ll receive login credentials and SSG QR attendance code
5. During the Programme
Attend sessions, pass all assessments, complete SSG surveys, and take final exam*
6. Programme Ends
Receive Statement of Accomplishment or Certificate (NTU); digital badge (SCS)

*The final exam only applies to those who wish to earn a joint certificate and the SCS digital badge.
FORMAT & TIMING

The course follows the following format, unless otherwise stated. 

🕘 Synchronous sessions every Saturday at 9:30am.
💬 E-consultations on alternate Wednesdays.
🗂️ Flexible access to online materials and assignments throughout.
📝 Final online exam will be announced at the start of the course (for those who wish to earn a joint certificate and and SCS digital badge).

📍 Learners must pass all assessments and (if applicable) the final exam to qualify for funding and certification.
