Hear From Our Students

"Serving as President of the International Trading Club (ITC) in 2024-2025 allowed me to translate leadership into meaningful impact for international trading undergraduates. Through initiatives such as Commodities Wrapped, a weekly market insights publication, and the International Trading Case Competition developed in collaboration with industry partners, I sought to create practical, value-adding learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

This experience reinforced my belief that effective leadership is never an individual effort. Working alongside a dedicated, capable, and passionate EXCO team challenged me to grow as a leader—strengthening my ability to align diverse strengths, communicate purpose clearly, and deliver results collectively. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow together with the team."

"Serving as the Honorary General Secretary of the International Trading Club (ITC) in 2025–2026 has been a genuinely fulfilling experience for me. I had the opportunity to work closely with alumni and industry professionals, emcee events, and see event planning through from idea to execution. Being involved in organising events that support and enrich the learning journey of international trading students has been especially meaningful.

I am also grateful for the opportunity to attend commodity conferences, where I connected with traders and professionals, gained industry exposure, and better understood the realities of the trading world beyond the classroom."

"The sharing sessions organised by CEIT, where industry experts and participants are invited, have allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of international trading. This is especially meaningful as the speakers’ expertise spans a wide range of commodities, from sugar to oil, offering valuable insights into how these markets operate in Singapore and the wider APAC region.

Through these sessions, I have developed a clearer understanding of the industry and how we might identify and harness opportunities within international trading."

"Participating in ITC events has been a genuinely enriching experience for me. Each event was thoughtfully planned and covered a wide range of topics, giving me deeper insight into how the industry operates beyond what we learn in class. Through these sessions, I had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and fellow students, hear firsthand about real-world experiences, and gain a clearer understanding of possible career pathways.

Overall, ITC’s events have been both informative and impactful, helping me feel more confident and assured as I continue to explore this field. "
