The Centre of Excellence International Trading (CEIT) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a strategic collaboration between NTU, Enterprise Singapore, and leading partners from the international commodity trading industry. Established to support Singapore’s position as a global trading hub, CEIT focuses on developing a specialised and globally ready talent pipeline for the international trading sector.

Through strong industry engagement, CEIT bridges academic learning with real-world trading practice. By building a holistic understanding of the trading value chain from front to middle and back office, CEIT equips graduates with the business insight and technical capabilities needed to contribute effectively to the evolving global trading industry.

At CEIT, we are committed to building strong partnerships between NTU and industry to nurture future-ready talent and advance thought leadership in international trading. Over the past year, we made meaningful progress through initiatives such as the development of the Digital Application Track, launching in Academic Year 2026, which strengthens ITP’s ability to prepare students for careers at the intersection of trading, technology, and data-driven decision-making.

We also expanded outreach to raise awareness of the international trading sector among prospective students, and continued to enrich the student experience through site visits, guest lectures, overseas engagements, and case competitions. In addition, we deepened engagement with alumni and corporate partners to build a more connected ecosystem that supports talent development throughout the programme and beyond graduation.
