Experiential Trips
Overseas Experiential Trips
CEIT offers students global exposure through overseas experiential learning initiatives, placing them in major international trading hubs where they can witness how markets move, supply chains connect, and business decisions shape outcomes across regions.
Through direct interactions with industry professionals and visits to leading trading-related organisations in markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and China, students gain invaluable perspectives beyond the classroom. These experiences broaden horizons, deepen understanding, and empower students to translate academic learning into real-world industry impact.
Local Site Visits
Complementing overseas exposure, CEIT’s local site visits offer students a front-row view of what a career in the trading industry looks like in Singapore. By stepping into trading firms and related organisations, students experience real workplace environments, gain insight into graduate roles, and understand what employers look for in the next generation of talent.
These visits also bring the trading value chain to life, allowing students to see how different functions work together to drive global trade — from operations and logistics to commercial and support roles. Through this exposure, students gain clarity, confidence, and perspective as they prepare to begin their professional journeys in the industry.

"During my school trip to Shanghai, I had the opportunity to visit several leading commodity companies, which provided valuable insights into the scale and complexity of the industry. As someone with a keen interest in the Oil & Gas sector, the visit to Sinopec’s Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Refinery was particularly impactful, as it allowed me to observe firsthand how large-scale operations are managed.
In addition, visits to companies such as E-Steel, Shagang Steel, and Yihai Kerry Arawana Holdings broadened my understanding of the wider commodity markets and highlighted the interconnectedness of the industry. The trip also offered a valuable opportunity to connect with peers who share similar interests, making the overall experience both educational and rewarding."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the Perth trip as it allowed me to go beyond classroom learning and gain firsthand exposure to real-world operations. Visiting the mines and ports of companies such as BHP and South32 deepened my understanding of the iron ore supply chain — from refining to transportation — making the experience both insightful and memorable."
