    Synergizing Teaching Case Development with Empirical Research

    Abstract: 
    Many business school faculty viewed case writing as a tax: a teaching and service obligation that competed with publication. This workshop offered an alternative framing: when used deliberately, case research served as a field methodology that disciplined and fuelled formal academic work, generating feedback loops that strengthened research portfolios and scholarly credibility rather than starving them.
