About Us

Meet Our Team

Asia, and ASEAN in particular, is widely recognised as one of the world’s fastest growing and most dynamic regions. Yet, despite the region’s growing economic significance, knowledge of its business practices, managerial approaches, and innovation models remains comparatively underdeveloped and understudied.

The Asian Business Case Centre seeks to address this gap by becoming a source of choice for high-quality case studies and practice-based insights on business and social innovation in Asia, with a particular emphasis on ASEAN. Given the central role of entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation in shaping the region’s growth, ABCC pays special attention to how these forces influence business strategy and practice across sectors and functions.

Our cases examine how innovation affects diverse areas of management, including finance, logistics, marketing, human resource management, recruitment, business strategy, accounting, and law. By documenting real-world organisational experiences, ABCC aims to generate rigorous, context-rich learning materials that reflect the complexity, diversity, and dynamism of Asian business environments.

Distribution Partners

Our cases are distributed by its partners, Harvard Business Impact, Ivey Publishing and The Case Centre.

Case studies bring an invaluable element of reality and experiential learning into the classroom. They enable students, educators, researchers, and practitioners to develop a systematic understanding of why and how organisations:

  • Develop particular strategies, policies, and business models;
  • Implement them within specific institutional, cultural, and market contexts; and
  • Adapt, evolve, and change in response to challenges, opportunities, and performance outcomes.

Case studies also support the analysis of dynamic patterns of organisational development and managerial action over time. They help learners build:

  • Contextual sensitivity in identifying and framing business issues;
  • Conceptual thinking across different circumstances and environments;
  • Practical intelligence in evaluating decisions and taking action; and
  • Broader perspectives that supplement personal experience in analysing real-life business challenges.
Through its work, the Asian Business Case Centre contributes to a deeper understanding of Asia’s evolving business landscape while supporting high-quality teaching, research, and practice grounded in real-world experience.
