Prof Benjamin Horton to contribute to State of the Tropics report

The tropics is a centre for biodiversity and ecosystem services of global significance, but also home to rapidly growing populations and economies. It is one of the places most affected by climate change, and also most vulnerable to these changes due to large undeveloped communities. State of the Tropics is a global alliance of research institutions, including NTU, with focus on social, economic & environmental issues across the Tropics.

At a meeting in Singapore on 2 July, experts met to outline a new State of the Tropics report to be published in 2020. Professor Benjamin Horton, who is a climate change scientist, represented Singapore. He will also contribute to the report specifically on the topic of sea level rise in the tropics.
