​President’s Chair and Provost Chairs to Prof Benjamin Horton, Asst Prof Fidel Costa and Asst Prof Emma Hill

    

 

Great news for the ASE is that three ASE faculty received named faculty chair professorships from NTU President Prof Subra Suresh at this morning’s town hall ceremony. Professor Horton was awarded in the Full Professor category, as President’s Chair in Earth Sciences. Asst Prof Fidel Costa and Asst Prof Emma Hill were both awarded in the early to mid-career category, as Provost’s Chairs in Earth Sciences. Our warmest congratulations to the awardees!

The announcement of 50 new named faculty chair professorships is part of a major effort to recognize outstanding achievement at early, mid-career and senior faculty levels. The initiative, which involves creating up to 100 new term chair professorships over five years, was first announced at the university town hall meeting in August 2018. Read more about it here
