​Dame Judi Dench meets Asst Prof Eleanor Slade and dung beetle Bob in TV show on Borneo’s rainforest

Judi Dench's Wild Borneo Adventure is a new ITV production featuring British Actress Dame Judi Dench. While exploring Borneo’s spectacular rainforest and its inhabitants, Dench discovers the connections between the tropical rainforest and the global ecosystem supporting life on this planet.

One of the experts seen guiding Dame Judi in the rainforest is ASE’s Asst Prof Eleanor Slade, a tropical forest ecologist working with invertebrate diversity and community interactions. As such, in the program, she tells Dame Judi about the ecological role of the dung beetle, and how its activity impacts not only the local ecosystem, but also greenhouse gas emissions.
