​ASE at Singapore Youth Science Conference

The Science Mentorship Program is a nationwide projcet connecting high school students with researchers, and culminating in the annual Youth Science Conference. This year over 5 000 students from high schools around Singapore and participated, conducting reseach under the guidance of mentors from various scientific fields. Harini Manivannan, Hong Ying Ying and Wai Yan Aung from NUS High School of Math and Science took the opportunity to do a study with the Asian School of the Environment. From March to early June he students spent about three hours per week designing, setting up and carrying out the project 'Effect of seed size and light on germination and seedling growth in five tropical fruit species'. Supervisors from ASE were Dr Anna Lagerstroem, Dr Kang Min Ngo and Dr Shawn Lum.
