Zhong Lidan, Linda

Associate Professor Linda Zhong graduated from Shanghai University of TCM and obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree. She then obtained her PhD in clinical research in Chinese Medicine at the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. She served as a post-doctoral fellow at Hong Kong Baptist University.

She was instructed by renowned Chinese Medicine expert Prof. Chen Xiang Jun and has more than 20 years of clinical experience, particularly in treating rheumatological diseases, such as systematic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Sjögren's syndrome, Dermatomyositis/Polymyositis, etc., gynaecological disorders, such as irregular menstruation, infertility, menopausal symptoms, etc., and digestive disorders, such as functional dyspepsia, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, and others.

​Tan Siew Buoy
Senior Consultant Physician

Dr Tan graduated with a PhD in Gynaecology from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has over 30 years of clinical experience in TCM internal medicine, acupuncture and gynaecology. In 2008, she received an award from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine for contributing to the progression of TCM technology.

Her area of expertise is in gynaecology, especially in the treatment of infertility. She has helped numerous couples conceive successfully. 

​Wang Xiaolan
Senior Consultant Physician

She was previously appointed as Associate Professor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She has over 30 years of clinical and teaching experience.

Her areas of expertise include acupuncture, internal medicine, gynaecology, pediatrics, orthopedics and traumatology, with special emphasis on mental health disorders and a variety of acute and chronic pain.

Yong Choon Lian
Senior Consultant Physician

Dr Yong graduated from NTU/NIE, Beijing Normal University and Fujian University of TCM. He has a Masters in TCM immunology, and a PhD in Practical Clinical Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, with a focus on geriatrics. He conducted research on tumours of the gastrointestinal tract in Fujian Department of Science & Technology. His clinical mentors were national TCM geriatrics expert Prof Du Jian, as well as Prof Fang Gongxian, a renowned Chinese expert in the surgical treatment for tumors. In addition, He also studied acupuncture under Prof Liu Kong Teng of Xiamen University and famous veteran TCM physician Prof Huang Zong Xu.

Dr Yong has over 45 years of clinical and teaching experience, with areas of expertise in geriatrics, oncology, internal medicine and pain management. He served as the 1st Vice-President of Academy of Chinese Medicine, senior clinical mentor of Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture (For Medical Doctors and Dentists) as well as examiner for the Singapore TCM Registration Exam, the Continuous Professional Education committee. He is currently a member of the TCM Educational Institution Evaluation committee, under the Singapore TCM Practitioners Board.

Chen Jiayi
Consultant Physician

Physician Chen graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990. She worked as a clinical and teaching staff in the Department of Neurosurgery and Dermatology of Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also served as a lecturer for many courses at Singapore Institute of Chinese Medicine, Singapore College of Chinese Medicine, Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has been engaged in clinical and medical teaching for more than 30 years. She has 35 years of clinical experience in Singapore.

Her areas of expertise include dermatology, TCM external medicine, emotional conditions, thyroid conditions, gynecological diseases, IVF Chinese medicine-assisted treatment, and acupuncture treatment for neurological disorders (facial paralysis, sequelae of stroke, elderly degenerative diseases, etc.) 

Goh Chye Tee

Dr Lau graduated with a PhD in Acupuncture from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. He has over 20 years of clinical teaching experience and has published more than 30 articles.

His areas of expertise include acupuncture treatment for Brain-related diseases (Autism, Mental disorders), Stroke rehabilitation and Pain management.

Sun Huili
Consultant Physician

Physician Sun graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990 and practiced in the paediatric department at Longhua Hospital. She conducted clinical research on the TCM treatment and TCM-western medicine integrated treatment of malignant tumours. In 2011, she received further training at National Cancer Centre, learning about advances in Western medicine treatment of tumours. Since 2019, she has provided talks for TCM practitioners in Singapore on TCM treatments for common malignant tumours such as bowel cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, hepatobiliary and pancreatic malignant tumours, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer.

Zhao Yan

Dr Zhao graduated from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in 1997 and completed her master’s degree in Gynecology thereafter. In year 2000, she completed her PhD in internal medicine with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She has experience in TCM treatment of gynecological ailments, diabetes, mood disorders and kidney ailments. She has participated in several clinical research projects on topics such as endometriosis, the prevention and treatment of diabetes, etc. Her research in diabetes was awarded the Beijing Technological Progress award.

After joining Nanyang Technological University, she established an independent laboratory to guide students in the research of natural products on diabetes, neurological, gynecological ailments as well as the treatment of cancer and its mechanism. She has published more than 10 papers on the international journal PNAS.

Dr Tan obtained his PhD in Chinese Medicine from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from National University of Singapore. He has many years of experience in teaching, clinical treatment, scientific research and administrative management.

He is experienced in treating pelvic floor diseases (urinary incontinence, abnormal urination, constipation, faecal incontinence, uterine prolapse, abnormal urination caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia, etc.), pain management and common geriatric diseases (Parkinson's disease, etc.).
