Seminar Abstract

Supply chain resilience is important due to constraints that can happen in meeting the demand. The presentation will provide different sources of risks and resilience plans adopted in the industry mainly related to manufacturing and service industry. It explores a pathway adopted in small and large industries for institutionalizing resilience measures. The presentation is based on the outcomes of a study funded by Qatar National Research Fund.

Speaker's Biography 

Shaligram Pokharel is a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Qatar University. He has worked in the industry and government before joining the academics. He started full time academic career at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has completed funded research of more than 4 million USD as Lead Principle Investigator and other roles. Currently he is working in a research project related to national resilience framework for Qatar. He has published more than 100 papers in International journals and international conferences.
