In her commentary, Joelle Fong, a Senior Research Fellow at the Insurance Risk & Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) at NBS, wrote that last year, Singapore ranked fifth in a report identifying countries most vulnerable to cyber attacks in Asia-Pacific. One demographic that is most vulnerable to cyber crime is the elderly. To educate and empower seniors to stay safe in cyber space, the Singapore Government aims to raise their level of cyber crime awareness through engagement platforms such as the IDA’s annual Silver IT Fest.
