Abstract

The institutional investment landscape is undergoing constant change, driven by ever-dynamic global financial markets, as well as the evolving needs of pension funds and broader institutional investors. This seminar will outline and discuss the latest global developments, trends and considerations in this space, with a greater focus on ‘alternative’ assets such as hedge funds, private equity, infrastructure and digital assets (specifically cryptocurrency).

About the Speaker

Malizole Mdlekeza is a qualified actuary with a passion for finance and investments. He is a fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) and is a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). He has over a decade’s worth of experience in financial markets & financial services, and in addition, he joined academia as an actuarial science lecturer in 2020. He is heavily interested and invested in thought leadership in finance and investments, and he sits on and has chaired various professional committees and related institutions in industry.
