​"Cyber Risk and Secure Finance Forum” was held on November 7th, 2016 in Shanghai, drew nearly 400 professionals including senior officials, academics, corporate executives, experts and actuaries from the IT, finance, insurance industry and regulatory departments. 


The forum was jointly organized by Lujiazui Financial Services Professionals Association (LFSPA), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), China Financial Information Center (CFIC), and co-organized by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). 

Mr. Ye Guobiao (General Manager of CFIC) and Ms. Sarah Mathieson (representative of the IFoA) delivered welcome speeches. 

Professor Shaun Wang, director of NTU’s Insurance Risk and Financial Research Centre (IRFRC), delivered opening keynote speech. Other invited speeches were given by Mr. Wei Yingning (former vice president of CIRC), Mr. Sean Kanuck (top U.S. cyber security expert), Mr. Richard Green (executive director of Marsh Hong Kong), and Michael Sicsic (head supervisor of General Insurance in Financial Conduct Authority).

The Forum concluded with a lively panel discussion session, moderated by Professor Xie Zhigang from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, with panelist Mr. Chen Donghui (Swiss Re Greater China), Chen Sen (China Pacific Insurance Group), Ms. Xu Jun (Lloyd’s Greater China), Mr. Wickie Fung (Symantec), and Mr. Chen Yunkai (SAS China).
