DTC Joins Privacy-Enhancing Technologies Dialogue

The Digital Trust Centre (DTC) participated in an industry discussion hosted by Ant International at the Singapore Data Festival 2026, organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC).

Representing DTC, Professor Lam Kwok-Yan joined fellow experts to discuss how regulators are reassessing data governance and privacy frameworks as organisations move from experimentation to implementation with AI agents.

The discussion covered several key topics, including:

• The impact of AI agents on data policies and product development journeys.
• Deploying Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to better safeguard data privacy.
• How regulators are driving collaboration across the ecosystem to establish best practices for emerging applications of technology.

The session provided an opportunity for participants to exchange perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of advancing AI while maintaining strong data governance and privacy.
