About the Speaker

Fan Liu is the Asia CISO, Global Head of Security Development, and Co-Head of Singapore Technology at Morgan Stanley. He rejoined the firm in January 2021 after serving as Asia Head of Cybersecurity at another global investment bank, where he oversaw domains such as IAM, vulnerability management, penetration testing, cyber exercises, and application risk assessment.

Fan previously spent eight years at Morgan Stanley's Hong Kong and Shanghai offices and has held technical roles in financial institutions, start-ups, and consulting firms across Singapore and Canada, including positions as a security architect, penetration tester, and full-stack developer.


Description
As large language models (LLMs) gain rapid adoption across financial institutions and other sectors, they introduce new cybersecurity challenges. This talk explores real-world threats—such as prompt injection, training data manipulation, and sensitive data leakage—framed through the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs. It also shares strategic insights and practical experiences on securing AI-driven systems in large enterprises, highlighting how a large investment bank is navigating this evolving landscape with a focus on resilience and responsibility.
