Held from 5 to 9 June 2026, the CEE Summer Camp returned for its second edition with the theme, “Sustainable and Intelligent Built Environment”. The programme offered participants an immersive four-day learning journey centred on the built environment sector and its role in shaping sustainable and resilient cities.

The camp combined site visits, workshops, industry engagement sessions, and a hackathon, providing students with valuable insights into how civil engineering contributes to the development of sustainable and intelligent urban environments. Through these experiences, students honed skills such as problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, and curiosity – capabilities that are increasingly important in addressing the interdisciplinary challenges of the sector.

One of the highlights of the camp was the industry visits to Woh Hup and Obayashi, where participants were introduced to construction practices, site operations, sustainability considerations, and biodiversity preservation.

Participants also attended sharing sessions featuring CEE alumni and industry partner ConcreteAI. This allowed them to hear from professionals and strengthened their understanding of the innovations and technologies within the sector.

Student teams applied their knowledge to develop innovative solutions and presented their ideas before a panel of judges during the hackathon segment. This was followed by a networking dinner and award presentation ceremony, bringing together participants, faculty members, industry professionals, and partners to celebrate the achievements of the week.

By showcasing the diverse opportunities available in engineering, construction, urban planning, and sustainable infrastructure development, the CEE Summer Camp aims to inspire the next generation to contribute towards building greener and more resilient cities.

The CEE Summer Camp was launched in 2025 and is proudly sponsored by Woh Hup Pte Ltd.
