Student's Testimonials

Huang Ziling

Before joining the MSBT programme, Huang Ziling’s knowledge of blockchain was limited to cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin.Like many people, she had only heard about how some early adopters made fortunes through digital coins. But her perspective has completely transformed after a year of intensive study. “Now, whenever I think about blockchain, the first thing that comes to my mind is the technology itself—how it is developed, and how it can be used to achieve real goals.”   Looking back, she finds it difficult to name just one achievement from her MSBT journey. Her initial goal, after completing her first degree, was simply to find a stable job. Yet, during her studies, she discovered something more important: the ability to embrace change. With rapid advancements in AI, blockchain, and robotics, she has learned to adapt and grow in step with technology, instead of being overwhelmed by it.    As she graduates, Huang Ziling is ready to take her next step. She has already secured an offer in Singapore as a software developer. At the same time, she remains open to pursuing a PhD in the future. For her, MSBT has not only equipped her with technical skills but also reshaped her mindset, preparing her for a career defined by resilience and innovation.

Han Shuangyue

When Han Shuangyue first encountered blockchain, she thought of it as just another “big tech” buzzword. But through MSBT, she soon realized its deeper significance. Inside blockchain technology lie pressing issues in computing, such as privacy protection and applications in education. These, she discovered, are not only highly relevant but also essential for the development of modern AI and computing systems. Among the many courses she took, one stood out in particular: Game Theory and Blockchain. Taught by a professor who left a strong impression on her, the course introduced her to fundamental theories that were both fascinating and practical. What struck her most was how these theories could be applied to blockchain cooperation and communication systems—knowledge that is highly useful for her future career. For Han, the greatest achievement from MSBT goes beyond a single lesson or project. She sees the programme as an entire platform, offering access to professors, abundant resources, and countless opportunities that have supported both her job search and her research career planning. With this strong foundation, she is confident about her next steps in the fast-changing landscape of technology.

Yin Haobai

When Yin Haobai first joined MSBT, he brought with him a strong technical background and excellent programming skills—but almost no foundation in finance. That changed when he encountered the course Token Economics. For the first time, he began to approach challenges from a financial perspective and came to recognize the two inseparable pillars of blockchain: finance and technology. Beyond the classroom, one of his most unforgettable experiences was participating in ETH Global in Thailand last summer. For Haobai, it felt like competing in “hard mode”: navigating unfamiliar technologies, unclear product directions, and even language barriers. Step by step, he pushed through the difficulties—and in the process, achieved not only a completed project but also a personal breakthrough. Looking back, if the Haobai who first arrived in Singapore could meet the person he is today, he would be amazed. Over the past year, he has transformed uncertainty into opportunity, and volatility into growth. His courage has led him to build his own project, and with it, the confidence to face the future with determination.

Shen Lingyu

In today’s AI-driven world, trust in finance is vital. Echo, a decentralized AI payment layer founded by Sunny Shen, NTU MSBT graduate and CEO of Martx (incubated at Hong Kong Science Park), aims to make transactions more secure, transparent, and private. Before joining MSBT, Sunny only knew blockchain through Bitcoin and basic smart contracts. The programme deepened his understanding of blockchain’s true potential in transforming finance through efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness. Actively joining global hackathons, he witnessed the rapid growth of the blockchain industry and its real-world possibilities. Now, his project Echo uses decentralized TEE nodes to enable non-custodial AI payments with privacy-preserving proofs. A demo is live, the first users are onboard, and with plans to raise USD 500,000 and launch an MVP in February 2026, Sunny is ready to reshape the AI-finance landscape.
