International-Singapore Intergenerational National Games (I-SING)
Abstract
The Intergenerational Singapore National Games (I-SING) is a community-tested exergaming programme promoting active and healthy ageing among older adults. Originally launched in 2016 by Nanyang Technological University's Centre for Healthy and Sustainable Cities, I-SING has engaged nearly 1,000 older adults from 30 Senior Activity Centres and expanded internationally to include participants from Finland, France, Japan, and Taiwan.
Through ARISE, I-SING restarted in April 2023 and continues until March 2026. The programme is whitelisted by the Agency for Integrated Care, enabling collaboration with over 200 Active Ageing Centres. I-SING promotes digital inclusion, intergenerational connections, and physical activity through safe, evidence-informed exergaming activities, bridging generational gaps while supporting seniors' well-being and technological literacy.
