These PhD positions are open to students of all nationalities and will be fully funded (tuition + stipends + health insurance) by the PI's grants.

Research Project Overview

The project will relate to research and development of digital health technology. Potential candidate will be working with health-related wearable prototype that offer suite of sensors for monitoring movement quality and mobility of patients for personal health management. The overarching vision is to transform clinical diagnostics in neuromotor disorders by providing objective, patient-centred functional assessments of movement quality and quantity. Through developing innovative, science-based technology for aiding clinical-decision making, we aim to disrupt the state-of-the-art in early stage detection, and functional assessments and monitoring, towards efficient clinical trials, evaluating treatment efficacy and targeting therapies at individuals. The research project aims to design, develop and evaluate the application that allows the data collection using wearable sensors with the older adults. The application will comprise of the following features: a) Sensors connection, calibration and status, b)Movement data recording using calibrated sensors, c) Survey data collection and d)Data storage and cloud synchronisation.
