Welcome to ACRC!

Relaunched in 2023, the Asian Communication Research Centre (ACRC) aspires to become a globally recognized hub for the advancement of cutting-edge research, ideas, and engagement in the dynamic field of studying communication, media, technology, culture, and society in contemporary Asia. It brings together established and new voices in the field, incubating and showcasing innovative and incisive research and reflection on key issues of concern and opportunity such as AI for development (AI4D) in Asia. ACRC is part of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), NTU.

We strive towards a digital Asia that is inclusive and ethical, innovative and sustainable.

For ACRC, we are recruiting an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Media Policy and AI Governance. See details here. Application deadline is 17 January 2026.

We are also hiring a post-doc through the School’s new Post-Doctoral Research Fellow scheme to work on AI4D-related studies. Application will close on 15 February 2026.
