The Advanced Materials (AM) programme will explore advanced materials and deposition techniques to enhance the properties and functionalities of coatings, specifically in the semiconductor and biomedical fields. The aim of AM is to accelerate advanced coating innovation and adoption to boost Singapore’s manufacturing ecosystem.

Research will focus on: wear resistive biocompatible coating for various surfaces, ceramic-polymer composites, and metal seed layers for semiconductor wafer fabrication.
