CI-NTU Immersion Programme to Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California

Objective

To have a firsthand experience in seeing how translation & interpretation, as a discipline and an industry, are being taught and conducted in the U.S.

Curriculum

 7-day: 39 hours of instruction plus half-day site visit

• Translation and Interpretation instruction
  (50% of total course hours)
• Translation and Localization Management instruction
  (50% of total course hours)

Programme Cost

1. Tuition: USD$36,500
(to be shared by up to 12 participants, exclude travel and lodging expenses) 

- Not inclusive of airfares, accommodation, living expenses, insurance, visa fees (where applicable), etc.

Option A: Dormitory

• Est. USD$50/night for double occupancy

• Est. USD$150 one-time cleaning fee

Option B: Home Stay

• Placement Fee: USD$350
• Deposit: Waived

• 7 days' stay with meals (Breakfast/Dinner): Est.USD$1,000
