CCEH Director in AI for Planetary Health Session at Global Workshop

Showcasing CCEH’s leadership in AI-driven climate and health research through global engagement

Prof. Steve Yim, Director of the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH), participated in the AI for Planetary Health session at the AI for Global Development Workshop, held on 10 December 2025 and jointly organised by KAIST and the World Health Organization.

As an invited speaker, Prof. Yim presented CCEH’s work on applying artificial intelligence to climate change and population health, demonstrating how advanced data-driven approaches can enhance evidence generation, strengthen risk attribution, and inform policy-relevant decision-making.

The workshop also facilitated meaningful cross-sector exchanges with the Wellcome Trust, World Bank Group, Google, and WHO, highlighting the critical role of partnerships in translating AI innovation into tangible public-health impact. CCEH took this opportunity to position its research within global efforts to harness AI for climate-resilient and health-protective decision-making.
