Designing Airport and Air Traffic Management Systems and Ecological-friendly Aircraft Operations

This talk provides an overview of the speaker's research and on-going R&D projects at her laboratory on the airport and air traffic management (ATM) system design and ecologically friendly aircraft operation. An emphasis is given to research approaches for achieving successful collaboration between humans and automation tools envisaged in ATM systems. The methodologies draw an interesting reference from design principles for successful socio-technical hybrid systems.
